Description

Valienne
"A young Flor from the Thornwood. Ever since she was a young sapling, she had heard tales of grand battles and heroes. While she had always wanted such an illustrious life, she never thought she'd get a chance: Her elders frowned upon letting someone so unskilled leave on a 'foolish quest'. One foul day, lightning struck a tree as she went past. Sorrowful over the tree's demise, she went over to it, to pay her respects to a fallen bit of nature. Much to her surprise, a single flower survived upon the tree, a flower as red as the one atop her own head.

Seeing it as a sign, perhaps from Gaea herself, Valienne decided to act upon her dreams: Taking the fallen tree and flower both, she was able to turn the remains of the proud tree into a weapon for her to wield: A lance of wood and vine that she named Chantelief. As her skill grew, she was able pursuade her elders to let her embark upon her quest. Gifted with armor of wood, leaf and vine, she departed from the Thornwood. Someday, they would hear tales of the wonders she had achieved....or so she hoped.

Chantelief
"Valienne's trusty lance, made from a fallen tree. Enchanted with magic to be as durable as any other weapon, it is her companion on her journey. While not sentient persay, her Syncral is an ability to commune with nature. This  allows a degree of control over it, due to the flower growing through the lance. With the vines attached to Chantelief, she can 'command' the lance to hold itself upright, making it considerably easier to carry in her travels."
